My Japanese Coach - Software Review

After getting back on my Japanese grind, I (Cal James) decide to use and review a piece of software for the Nintendo DS that's designed to help students learn Japanese (日本語).

Is this the piece of English-Japanese edutainment that Japanese students all over the world have been anxiously anticipating? Find out by watching this software review, brought to you by Buffering While Bored!

Episode 1 - A History of Sore Thumbs and Rotted Brains

The very first episode of Buffering While Bored hosted by Cal James, Devon Donerlson and Andy Guan. In this episode, we introduce ourselves briefly and then jump right into what we've been doing for 2008, as well as talk about the future.

A few notes:

- As you'll surely notice throughout the show, there is a slight echo that makes an appearance occasionally. We'll try harder to get rid of that next time.

- There was a significant amount of lag between us over TeamSpeak, which made conversation difficult at times to say the least. I assure you that when you hear us randomly interrupt each other in the show that it [usually] wasn't intentional. This is another thing we'll try to work better with next time.

- Yeah... uh... I know we... uh... say 'uh' a lot, especially me. This is partially due to us not really having a solid agenda for this episode and were kind of just winging it (our fault). None of us are public speakers, but we promise to work on it. Although, the fact that I recorded this on a total of zero hours of sleep probably didn't help any.

Well, that's about it. I hope you guys enjoy the show. If you have any suggestions of any kind, such as what we should talk about or review, let us know.
